Dr. Masud Ansari, PhD, DCH, FCH, MA, BA

Dr. Masud Ansari is a prolific author, acclaimed lecturer, distinguished educator, as well as an internationally recognized therapist.
Dr. Ansari, B.A., M.A., PH.D., D.C.H., F.C.H., holds a B.A. in law, an M.A. in International Relations from the University of London, and three doctorate degrees. Two of these doctorate degrees are in Political Science from both Tehran University and George Washington University. The third doctoral level degree is from the American Institute of Hypnotherapy
Dr. Ansari is the author and translator of 33 books in the areas of psychology, law, political science, philosophy, theology, and hypnotherapy. In addition, he has authored two works of fiction. In 1968, one of Dr. Ansari's books, Nationalism, won the Critical Acclaim.
Dr. Ansari has conducted research and has lectured at several universities around the world. These include: London University, American University, as well as universities in Japan and Iran. He has been awarded many honors throughout his teaching career, including those from the National Association of Transpersonal Hypnotherapists (1995) and from the International Hypnosis Federation (2008). In London, Dr. Ansari worked as the hypno-anesthesiologist in the Hospital of London University.
Lastly, Dr. Ansari is the founder and past president of the Lebanese Society for Clinical Hypnosis, and currently he is the president of the Institute for Ethical and Clinical Hypnosis, Washington, D.C. A frequent guest on radio and television, Dr. Ansari regularly conducts courses for physicians, dentists, psychiatrists, and other professionals in the Washington Metropolitan area.

Alexander M. Docker, Instructor, DCH, PhD

Dr. Docker is an Instructor with American Pacific University. Dr. Docker brings a wealth of life experience to his academic position with APU: Airman, Policeman, Engineer, Businessman, and Educator. He has lived and worked in several countries, gaining a valuable understanding of widely varying points of world view that translate very positively into methods of therapeutic application. This makes him eminently qualified for his position of helping others to hone their skills and gain optimum practical benefit from their academic studies. Dr. Docker is also a Certified Trainer of NLP. D.C.H., American Institute of Hypnotherapy; Ph.D., American Pacific University.

Dr. William Martin, PhD, MA, BS, Instructor

Dr. William Martin is certainly no stranger to the academic arena and places a major focus on the value of education. He earned his PhD in Clinical Psychology from International University, his M.A. in Marriage, Family, and Child Therapy, from Pepperdine University, and his B.S. in Counseling Psychology from Georgia State University. Dr. Martin is a licensed Clinical Psychologist, as well as a Marriage, Family, and Child Counselor. Dr. Martin also holds numerous certifications in a variety of fields, including but not limited to: Psychology, Neuropsychological, Public Speaking/Presentation, Mind-Body Medicine, Marriage, Family, and Child Counseling, Executive Coaching, Sex Therapy, Sexual/Physical Abuse Treatment, Domestic Violence, Child Custody, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counseling, Cross Cultural Training, Gerontology Training, Disability Evaluation and Assessment, among many others.
Dr. Martin is also a certified trainer of Neuro Linguistic Programming, Clinical Hypnotherapy, and Time Empowerment Techniques¨. He has studied and has received certification with Anthony Robbins, Richard Bandler, Deepak Chopra, and the Empowerment Partnership, formerly Advanced Neuro Dynamics. He also is certified in many areas outside of work, including: being a private pilot, a black belt in Kung Fu and Tae Kwan Do, and as a scuba diver.
Dr. Martin currently has his own private practice as a Clinical Psychologist in San Clemente California and has practiced since 1988. He also maintains several websites as well as health related companies. In the past, he has served in the capacity of Executive Director, Vocational Counselor, Psychotherapist, and Group Facilitator at several health-related facilities in both the California and Georgia areas.
Dr. Martin believes that the most effective approach to the attainment of health is a comprehensive program that assesses and utilizes the physical, mental, social, and spiritual aspects of the whole person. He recognizes that each person is unique and has individual needs, and that each family is different and may have special concerns. In view of this, the physical, mental, emotional, behavioral and spiritual aspects of each individual or family are taken into consideration when professional services are rendered.

Dr. Darlene Silvernail, PhD, MA, BA, Instructor

Dr. Darlene Silvernail has over 23 years of clinical experience, entering the Human Services field through Law Enforcement. She worked seven years undercover in Vice Narcotics. Dr. Silvernail later returned to school to earn her B.A. in Criminal Justice and then her M.A. in Psychology from Springfield College. Upon graduation, Dr. Silvernail worked several years as a therapist before deciding to go back to school to earn her Ph.D in Psychology.
Dr. Silvernail's background and work experience has been quite diverse and has included the following: developing clinical programs for alternative correctional programs, establishing treatment components for Drug Court, establishing domestic violence courts, State Certified Human Trafficking Trainer, among many others. She also owned and operated a large community mental health outpatient continuum facility for eleven years before going to work for the court as a Forensic Psychologist, a change of pace.
She has expertise in life, career, and business coaching, as well as personal and professional development. She is also a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Certified Addictions Professional. Lastly, she is the author of Emotional Wellness for Women III and The Baby Boomer's Handbook for Women.
Dr. Silvernail places much emphasis on life in doing what she enjoys, which lead her to pursue the educational field. Currently she teaches not only at American Pacific University but also at South University and continues to facilitate on-site classrooms for two area colleges in West Palm Beach Florida. Outside of teaching, she enjoys cross-country motorcycle driving, traveling, photography, scuba diving, and scrap booking.
Dr. Silvernail encourages all of her learners to always remain open and approachable. For her, life is one big learning experience. "The more I think I know, the less I really know." She continually uses her own life experiences to influence and educate, as all of us are on our journey together.
